Patricia Román was born and raised in Oxford, England and lives in rural Spain, drawing on her Spanish heritage to create timeless stories about ordinary people in extraordinary times. The Spanish suffragette movement, trade unions and the aftermath of the Spanish civil war are all settings for her character-driven novels which have been long and shortlisted in several literary competitions.
